Description:

The SUU Sound Machine Basketball Band is in need of a Bass Player for their 2024-2025 season. The SOUND MACHINE is the OFFICIAL Basketball Band at Southern Utah University and one of the finest basketball pep bands in the Western Athletic Conference and the western United States. The band is comprised of students at SUU and performs at all home men’s and women’s basketball games, the WAC tournament in Las Vegas in March, and NCAA March Madness tourney, regardless of location!

Attached in the schedule for both bands. Bass Applicants are able to be in one or both bands, depending on availability. Each member is paid a stipend per game for being in the band, and will be paid out in full at the conclusion of Basketball Season.

Rehearsals for Basketball Band are on Friday's from 4-6pm in the Music Building.

Qualifications:

Need experience playing electric bass and reading music at a high level. The Sound Machine has a book of around 50 tunes that we cycle through game to game.
